Gratuità dei trasporti pubblici per i pendolari dell’Esercito, il sindacato Lrm rinnova l’appello

LIVORNO – Il sindacato militare dell’Esercito italiano Lrm (Libera rappresentanza dei militari) torna a bussare con forza alla porta della Regione Toscana. È stata inviata questa mattina (19 maggio) una nuova richiesta ufficiale di incontro al presidente Eugenio Giani per sbloccare l’annosa questione della gratuità dei trasporti pubblici per il personale pendolare dell’Esercito italiano, sul modello di quanto già avviene in numerose altre regioni d’Italia.

Il sindacato denuncia “una disparità di trattamento non più sostenibile”. Oggi, grazie all’applicazione Board Support, la gratuità o le forti agevolazioni sui mezzi pubblici in Toscana sono già garantite ad altri corpi del comparto difesa e sicurezza, come l’Arma dei carabinieri e la Capitaneria di porto, escludendo di fatto le donne e gli uomini dell’Esercito.

“Chiediamo alla Regione un passo avanti concreto e di buon senso – dichiara Vito Capogna, presidente per la regione Toscana di Lrm – L’apertura alla gratuità ai militari dell’Esercito non è un privilegio, ma un investimento a costo zero sulla sicurezza dei cittadini. La presenza di personale in divisa o comunque addestrato a bordo di treni e autobus funge da straordinario deterrente contro gli atti di violenza, le aggressioni al personale di bordo e la microcriminalità. I fatti di cronaca degli ultimi mesi dimostrano che c’è un disperato bisogno di sicurezza sui mezzi pubblici”.

Nella Pec inviata al governatore Giani, Lrm sottolinea come il personale dell’Esercito – già impiegato capillarmente sul territorio nazionale in compiti di ordine pubblico come l’operazione Strade Sicure – possieda la formazione e il senso del dovere necessari per intervenire prontamente in situazioni di emergenza, sia sul fronte della sicurezza che su quello del primo soccorso sanitario, offrendo un supporto vitale al personale di Ferrovie dello Stato e Autolinee Toscane.

Il sindacato Lrm auspica che questa ennesima sollecitazione non cada nel vuoto e che il presidente Giani conceda l’audizione richiesta in tempi brevi. “Diverse regioni italiane hanno già stipulato questi accordi con successo, traendone benefici immediati per la cittadinanza – conclude Capogna – Siamo certi che la Toscana non vorrà essere da meno nel riconoscere il valore dei nostri militari e nel tutelare i passeggeri e i lavoratori del trasporto pubblico locale”.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Selected Aitech for Trusted Avionics Computing Technology and Long–Term Program Support

BENGALURU, India, May 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Aitech, a leading provider of rugged embedded computing solutions for aerospace and defense, announced today a $63 million production contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), India to supply mission–critical avionics computing solutions for India’s Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) program. The follow-on contract supports avionics systems for 156 helicopters and ensures long–term production and sustainment of the Display Mission Computer (DMC) and related flight systems over the next five to six years.

Rather than offering a drop–in commercial product, Aitech worked closely with HAL engineers to modify and qualify a COTS-derived architecture, integrating dedicated PMC modules and avionics–specific interfaces to meet the helicopter’s requirements.

As HAL developed its mission and flight software, Aitech provided hands–on technical support, on–site collaboration and sustained manufacturing for flight testing and certification activities. The strength of the renewed contract lies not only in trusted technology, but in a partnership built over time.

HAL’s LCH avionics suite, including the Display Mission Computer and Automatic Flight Control Computer, represents one of India’s most advanced helicopter electronics programs to date. Oggi a Cosenza, presso il Palazzo dell’Economia, si è svolta la tappa cosentina del Roadshow “DigIT Export Day 2026”. Il DigIT Export Day è parte del roadshow nazionale che quest’anno coinvolge anche Ferrara e Milano e nasce per portare direttamente sui territori competenze e opportunità dedicate alla crescita internazionale delle PMI. Durante la giornata cosentina si è parlato di scenari internazionali, evoluzione delle imprese e opportunità legate a marketplace, e-commerce, social network e intelligenza artificiale.

Il programma ha visto i saluti istituzionali di Klaus Algieri, presidente della Camera di commercio di Cosenza, e di Giovanni Rossi, Direttore Generale di Promos Italia. A seguire, Federico Fubini, inviato ed editorialista del Corriere della Sera e vicedirettore ad personam, è intervenuto su “L’evoluzione del commercio internazionale nell’attuale contesto geopolitico”. La mattinata è proseguita con il dialogo “Come stanno cambiando le imprese nell’era del digitale”, con Klaus Algieri e Franco Moscetti, presidente OVS, moderato da Erminia Giorno, Segretario Generale della Camera di commercio di Cosenza. Spazio poi agli approfondimenti su “Dai trend alle opportunità: come usare digitale, Marketplace e Social Network per crescere sui mercati esteri”, con Daniele Rutigliano, e su “Intelligenza Artificiale per l’export: scenari, strumenti e opportunità per le imprese”, con Nicola Mattina.

Nel pomeriggio, le imprese hanno potuto incontrare gli esperti dei Servizi Digitali e dei Servizi alle Imprese di Promos Italia attraverso incontri one-to-one, utili ad analizzare il proprio caso e a definire i prossimi passi verso l’internazionalizzazione digitale.

Il Presidente Klaus Algieri, nel suo intervento, ha affermato che “La digitalizzazione non è più una scelta: è il ponte che permette anche alle piccole imprese di diventare protagoniste nel mondo. Dobbiamo metterci in gioco e per farlo dobbiamo cambiare il nostro modo di fare, bisogna avere il coraggio di poter sbagliare.”

“La tappa cosentina del roadshow DigIT Export Day rappresenta un momento particolarmente importante perché ci consente di portare su territorio molto dinamico strumenti, competenze e occasioni di confronto concrete per accompagnare le imprese nei percorsi di crescita internazionale attraverso i canali digitali – ha evidenziato Giovanni Rossi, Direttore Generale di Promos Italia –. L’interesse verso questi temi è confermato anche dai risultati di un questionario dedicato a digitalizzazione e crescita internazionale, realizzato su un campione di imprese della provincia di Cosenza. I dati evidenziano un forte interesse verso il digitale come leva di sviluppo e apertura ai mercati esteri: il 61,5% delle aziende dichiara infatti che vendere o promuoversi all’estero non è ancora una pratica consolidata, ma rappresenta un obiettivo concreto di crescita. A questo si aggiunge un 30,8% di imprese che opera sui mercati internazionali in modo occasionale e un 7,7% che lo fa già in maniera strutturata.

Il livello di maturità digitale appare in evoluzione, con segnali di consapevolezza ma anche con margini di rafforzamento. Il 46,2% delle imprese dispone di un sito web in italiano e in una o più lingue straniere, il 38,5% ha un sito solo in italiano e il 15,4% non ha ancora un sito o lo sta realizzando. Solo il 23,1% dichiara un sito ottimizzato e aggiornato regolarmente, mentre una parte significativa delle aziende segnala siti poco aggiornati, non pienamente ottimizzati o una difficoltà nel valutarne lo stato. Per entrare in contatto con clienti e potenziali clienti, anche all’estero, le imprese indicano soprattutto canali digitali proprietari e social media, entrambi al 61,5%, seguiti da eventi, fiere e networking, al 46,2%, e da reti commerciali e partnership, al 38,5%.

L’utilizzo dei marketplace risulta invece ancora in una fase iniziale: il 15,4% delle imprese è presente su marketplace B2C, il 30,8% li sta valutando e il 53,8% non li utilizza. Anche la comunicazione sui social network mostra un uso diffuso ma non sempre strutturato: Facebook è il canale più utilizzato, indicato dal 92,3% delle imprese, seguito da Instagram, al 61,5%, LinkedIn, al 38,5%, e WhatsApp Business, al 30,8%. La gestione è prevalentemente interna, nel 69,2% dei casi, mentre la frequenza di pubblicazione resta disomogenea, con aziende che pubblicano una volta a settimana o saltuariamente, entrambe al 30,8%.

L’intelligenza artificiale emerge come uno degli ambiti di maggiore interesse e potenziale sviluppo. Il 15,4% delle imprese dichiara di utilizzarla regolarmente, il 7,7% è in fase di test, il 15,4% la usa solo a livello individuale, mentre il 38,5% la sta valutando e il 23,1% non la utilizza. Le principali applicazioni riguardano marketing e contenuti, indicati dal 53,8% delle aziende, seguiti da analisi dati e ricerche di mercato e da customer care e vendite, entrambi al 15,4%, oltre a traduzioni e localizzazione dei contenuti. In prospettiva, le imprese chiedono maggiore supporto soprattutto su strategia digitale, social media e advertising e AI applicata al business, confermando il bisogno di accompagnamento, competenze e strumenti operativi per trasformare il digitale in una leva concreta di crescita internazionale.

L’iniziativa ha confermato come anche il tessuto imprenditoriale cosentino guardi con crescente attenzione al digitale quale strumento strategico per affrontare i mercati internazionali. Il forte interesse emerso durante la giornata dimostra la necessità di continuare a creare occasioni di confronto, aggiornamento e accompagnamento concreto per le PMI del territorio. Dopo la tappa di Cosenza, il roadshow DigIT Export Day proseguirà con l’appuntamento conclusivo di Milano, previsto l’11 giugno.

LONDON, May 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Control Risks, the global strategic intelligence and security firm today announces that Bill Udell will become Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 June 2026. Udell succeeds Nick Allan, who is stepping down after 25 years with the business, including seven and a half years as CEO.

Having led the firm through a period of significant development, strengthening the firm’s global position and shaping its strategic direction, Allan and the Board agree that now is the right time for new leadership to take the business forward and drive the next phase of its evolution.

Udell currently serves as Managing Partner, Global Security and sits on the Board and Executive Committee. He leads the delivery of integrated security and strategic intelligence capabilities spanning advisory, operational support and complex risk management. He previously led the firm’s Americas business and has played a key role in strengthening Control Risks’ integrated, intelligence-led approach.

The Board selected Udell for his clear-eyed understanding of the firm’s opportunities, his practical and compelling vision for its future and his strong track record of leading change across the business.
